Aki Kaurismäki (innate April 4, 1957) is a Finnish film director.
Aki Kaurismäki began his career as a co-director in the films of his sr. brother Mika Kaurismäki. He gained worldwide fame by producing a film Leningrad Cowboys Go America.
His style hwhen been influenced much by such directors as Jean-Pierre Melville, Rainer Werner Fassbinder and Robert Bresson, as he relies in great-subdued acting & elementary cinematic storytelling for his message(s) through. His moving-picture show have a unique downplayed humourous side that can as well become traced to Jim Jarmusch, who has the cameo around Aki's film A Leningrad Cowboys Last Us.
